Hospital Patient Record System using Linux Programming

HI EVERYONE..

 I am studying Computer Science and Engineering and one of the projects I did is called "Hospital Patient Record System using Linux Programming". This project was done so I can learn how Linux programming works and how files are handled in life.

Working on this project really helped me understand how system calls work and how they help manage data. I also got to make a simple system to manage hospital patient records. We are living in a time where everything's digital. So hospitals need to keep their records in a way. The Hospital Patient Record System using Linux Programming is a project that makes it easy to store and get and manage data using Linux commands. Hospital Patient Record System using Linux Programming is a way for hospitals to manage their records.

#Objective

The main goal of this project is to:

* Understand how Linux system programming works

* Use system commands to handle files

* Apply what we learned to a real life situation

#TechnologiesUsed

We used the C programming language and the Linux platform. The system commands we used are:

* open

* read

* write

* close

#SystemDescription

Our system can do things like:

* Add new patient records

* Read details that are already stored

* Show all records

Each patient record has:

* Patient ID

* Name

* Disease

We store the data in files using Linux system commands. This way we can manage files in an efficient way.

#WorkingProcess

The user chooses what they want to do like add or read records. The system then uses the system commands to do what the user asked. The data is. Retrieved from files and the result is shown on the screen.

#Advantages

The Hospital Patient Record System using Linux Programming is good because:

* It handles files in an efficient way

* It is simple and easy to use

* It shows how system programming works in life

* It reduces mistakes that can happen when keeping records by hand

#Limitations

The Hospital Patient Record System using Linux Programming has some limitations. It does not have a graphical user interface. It can only do things and it does not use a database.

#FutureEnhancements

We plan to add a graphical user interface using GTK or a web interface. We also want to use a database like MySQL. We want to add options to search and delete patient records.. We want to make the system more secure.
